Got my overseas Christmas cards written today and will get them in the mail tomorrow. Each year it seems that there are one or two less to send and I am always expecting some may be returned as most of my relatives are getting on in years.
Other than that it has been a quiet day, too miserable to get outdoors so I have contented myself with finishing my most recent jigsaw puzzle. It was very satisfying to get that last piece in place!
It is from a collection of Indigenous art and was quite challenging! |
That is really interesting jigsaw puzzle. What do you do with them when done? Mount them or break them up and pass them on?
ReplyDeleteI no longer do cards. Just call me Grinch!
That one is already back in the box to clear a space for one more on my dining table before it is set for Christmas lunch! Some of my relatives, especially the more elderly ones, don't do e-mail and phoning overseas is just too expensive. So a card fits the bill.
DeleteGorgeous puzzle. I really like Indigenous art.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The colours are so vivid, aren't they?
DeleteThat puzzle looks like it would be quite challenging. My card list is shrinking as relatives are no longer with us.🎄
ReplyDeleteI got a card today from my oldest remaining relative, my mother's cousin who is 95.
DeleteThat's a very pretty banner at the top. Snow as it should look. :-)
ReplyDeleteStay warm. xx
That snow is gone. Today we have strong winds and above freezing temperatures.
DeleteA very cheerful in colour puzzle. What a perfect way to spend a blustery Sunday afternoon. It does seem like fewer & fewer cards get sent each year. IMO a holiday email does not take the place of a card.
ReplyDeleteI agree, MaryLou. I used to enclose a generic letter but now prefer writing a personal message tailored to each person.
