What a Scorcher!

It was brutally hot on the tennis courts this morning. I only managed to last until 9:30 although the other three stayed on to play Australian singles after I left.

Since then I have been cowering indoors except for an hour later in the afternoon, sitting in the shade reading. I also watered the garden while my swimsuit was still wet but it didn`t take long to dry. The heat wave continues!

P.S (10:00 p.m.)  I have turned off the air conditioning for the night but I won`t open any windows as I normally do as I am sure the outside temperature is still higher than indoors.

  1. I think we are in for a few more really hot days. I heard there's suppose to be more humidity, moisture in the air tomorrow which may trigger a storm - my gardens need a drink for sure.

    1. Yes, my lawn is burnt to a crisp. No point in watering!

  2. Wish you could send just a bit over here. It's quite cool for July at the moment.
    Take care and stay hydrated.

    1. I'm drinking lots of water and keeping the plants hydrated as well. I find it helps to go out early in the morning to give everything in the garden a good soaking.

    1. Maybe some of it will blow over your way. There is no end in sight for us at the moment.

  4. It still amazes me that my air conditioning bill, even in the summer, is barely half what it was in California by the ocean....here in AZ. But I'll take it!

  5. I hate to think what my electricity bill will be this month! For you it may be the difference between high and low humidity. I understand it's very dry in Arizona.
