Mix of Clouds, Showers and Sun

Some plants have survived the heat wave with frequent applications of water.

Echinacea just beginning to flower.

Two different basils still plentiful despite yesterday's clipping.

Phlox, day lilies and Bee Balm in a shady part of the garden.

  1. It's very hard to keep basil down, isn't it? The flowers look delightful.

    1. I'm just happy they are doing so well in the heat.

  2. Lovely snaps. We just planted our own basil for the first time, and it is going crazy. We only wish the petunias that are planted nearby would do so well. Happy Monday.

    1. Petunias don't like the heat. They get very tall and scrawny. Try nipping off the blossoms as they fade.

    1. I really should use it more. My Rosemary is also doing well.

  4. I like your garden tour. I grow a pot of Basil just to keep close at hand to stroke - I really like the scent. It's yummy in food too (lol).

    1. I used to do that (stroke it) with Lavender when I had it by the door.
