Out of Touch With the World

An early blog post today as I was incommunicado yesterday as my phone, internet and cable were all out. Luckily it wasn't a fault in my house, the whole area was out. So, no need for a technician to visit. I am relieved that I will have TV tonight as it is "Outlander" night. Last night I had to resort to working on my crochet (I have just taught myself), doing a puzzle and watching a video.

Just one picture to share today. I brought in these forsythia stems last week and they have obligingly flowered indoors. The bush outside will take another week or two.

  1. I always forget to bring in stems from our forsythia, but ours is now in full bloom out in the gardn. A lovely blaze of cheerful yellow.

  2. What a great idea to bring some forsythia branches in - thanks for sharing that idea. How frustrating but thankfully as you say, the internet problems were not needing for someone in your house.

    1. Rogers kept sending messages to my e-mail with updates but, of course, I couldn't see them until after it was fixed! The worst part was not having a working phone. Time to think about getting a cell phone, I think.

  3. I am missing our winter jasmine at our cottage - it is a similar cheery yellow.

  4. The forsythia is almost the first bit of colour in my garden but I will be picking daffodils soon!

  5. The forsythia is beautiful. I keep being tempted to bring some back from my daily walks. Not from someone's garden, might I add :) X
