Staying Sane by Keeping Busy

Chilly start to the day but warmed up by the afternoon. I did my exercises this morning and had a walk down to the drug store to check the P.O. Box. This afternoon I cut the front grass (it looks so much better for being void of dandelions) and did some gardening, then sat in the sun with my book for half-an-hour. That`s about it.

I am reading a very good book which I picked up from the Probus book exchange last year. It is `Mary, Queen of Scotland and the Isles` by Margaret George. I`m just at the part where she is tiring of Darnley and I know he is murdered in the next few chapters. Very exciting!

    1. I do about 20 minutes of cardio, abdominal exercises (which I hate but are probably what I need to do more of) and 10 minutes of weights, followed by a cool-down and stretching. The whole thing takes me about an hour and I do feel better afterwards.

    1. Not so nice today, a bit of rain this afternoon, but I did get a bit more gardening.

  3. You have nudged me into making an effort to do something physical. I haven't been out walking since my hay fever started in earnest and I am now feeling bloated and lethargic. I must get off the sofa!

  4. Yes, it's a good idea to get the endorphins flowing. I just had a walk today but did work in the garden for a spell.
