Thanksgiving in Canada

Thanksgiving lunch at Judy's with turkey and all the trimmings, including a yummy pumpkin mousse that Elliot made. Too stuffed to eat again but will probably have a snack before bed.

I came home and promptly slept for an hour (must have been the wine with lunch) so may have trouble sleeping tonight. Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving social at the tennis club and I have a big pot of baked beans to contribute. The weather is supposed to improve; it has been very wet and dreary for the last few days, but not cold. The pool was covered yesterday and now it's just a matter of preparing the garden for winter.

The last roses.

  1. Our pool is all closed up for the winter as well. Enjoy your Thanksgiving potluck tomorrow. -Jenn

    1. We almost got through dry (rained heavily around 11:00 a.m.)but at least the food was good! The guys doing the BBQ got pretty wet!

  2. Your Thanksgiving rose is perfection. We usually have our Thanksgiving meal on Sunday but this year it's a change up because of everyone's schedule. I'll be starting this week to put the garden to bed - thankfully the forecast is for little to no chance of rain. Happy Thanksgiving Chris. ... Mary-Lou =^..^=

    1. Hope you are not as stuffed as I was yesterday. I felt quite unwell, my fault for over-indulging! We have one more lunch tomorrow then we take down the nets and screens and generally tidy up - a busy day!
