Keeping My Chin Up

Still trying to sort out details relating to the break-in, mostly computer related. Trying to get a police report and contact another credit bureau, but so far my identity seems to be intact. Other than that, I found out yesterday a suspect has been arrested but no chance of me getting any of the stolen stuff back. Heigh ho!

I had a bit of luck yesterday at Bridge, I was the fifth highest scorer so got back my entrance fee and a bit more! Since then I have been working in the garden (very therapeutic) preparing beds for planting some vegetables. The rhubarb is doing well and I should be able to pick some soon.

Last Sunday was Mother's day here and I received some lovely flowers from my son and had a great meal at my daughter's house so felt very spoiled. No matter the problems we incur, life goes on and we must make the best of it!

  1. Sadly I fear your belongings have long been sold on to fund drugs or whatever.
As you say, life goes on, but you did have a terrifying experience. Be gentle with yourself.

  2. Gardening is therapeutic indeed. Treat yourself to a really good computer with your insurance money, perhaps? Take care. - Jenn

    1. I did need an updated laptop and a better cell phone so that worked out for me.

  3. I agree, gardening is highly therapeutic - plants are great counsellors. I'm glad that, so far, the practical damage seems minimal. Emotional is a different matter, of course.
    Sending love. xx

  4. I agree gardening & just being outside in fresh air is good for us. I hope you have someone you can talk to about this as the after affects can linger on.

Keep cool, and carry on. Easy for anyone to say, isn't it. Hope you have a great holiday weekend.

  8. I am sorry that you will not get any of your belongings back, but it is good that your identity has not been compromised as of yet. I know you will be keeping a close eye on that.

    God bless.

    1. Thanks, Jackie, I certainly am. Today I found I was missing a bottle of wine, so that's something else they took!

  9. On top of the emotional distress, it must have all been so time consuming for you having to deal with everything. I hope you will feel more like yourself again, very soon. Xx
