Spoke Too Soon!

Well, the boots have certainly had a workout this week as we have had a couple of days of wet, slushy snow. It has stayed mild (for Ontario) but is set to be frigid next week, so everything will freeze solid. I cleared the driveway just in case although it was mostly melting.

This is how I spent this morning - staring at a screen. It was the bi-monthly (hope that means every other month) meeting of the RTO District Executive and I'm glad it was decided to hold it over Zoom. I wouldn't have wanted to be driving today.

It was rather a tedious meeting (2 1/2 hours) and, despite being asked to be brief with reports, certain members proceeded to go into too much detail. The reports are circulated prior to the meeting and we have all supposedly read them. Then there were the inevitable questions!

I needed some fresh air after the meeting so walked down to the plaza to check the mailbox. And that's about it for today!

  1. Take care - it sounds most uncomfortably cold, one way and another. xx

    1. We have a saying here, "There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices"!

  2. During the Covid time, the quilting guild I belong to had Zoom meetings, did not like them at all.
We have just a dusting of snow, but I don't think it will stay that way for long due to the forecast for the weekend. Stay warm.

  4. I don't mind Zoom meetings as you get to stay in your pyjamas and have your coffee and toast as you attend.

  5. It does seem that we are returning to more meetings via Zoom & didn't we all learn the good perks of these types of meetings during 2020/2021; no traveling in snow & icey conditions & PJs are perfect attire. Stay warm Chris, it is going to be a brutually cold week for us.

  6. Tomorrow's meeting is "in person" so I will have to get out my warmest togs as it will be -11C when I leave the house in the morning - and that's without the wind chill factor! At least today was sunny.
