Bringing the Outdoors Inside

The garden is bare but there are still some flowers (now indoors) to brighten up a frosty Fall morning.

  1. Oh that hibiscus is so pretty - lovely mottled colouring. I brought in cuttings from a German Ivy & I'll try to keep the cats from it, the Basil isn't fairing so well for kitty nibbles.

    1. It's a pity the hibiscus only lasts for a day or two. There's another bud getting ready to open. Hope your cuttings survive!

  2. Healthy plants, love the colour of the hibiscus. My geraniums are inside for the Winter.

  3. I brought my hibiscus in a bit ago, but the colour of the flower has faded a bit. I think it might be because the sunshine is limited. Yours looks beautiful.

    God bless.

  4. I find it strange you have to bring plants in for winter. I guess nothing would survive those temperatures. We are lucky if our daily max gets below 8*C and that is rare.

    1. This reminds me of a funny story. I was on a group trip to Australia (Melbourne and Sydney) one year in July and one woman brought her fur coat! I don't think she ever had to wear it.

  5. Beautiful. I need to bring my lemon trees fully indoors today. We had our first frost last night. X

  6. Thank you, Jackie. Lucky you to have lemon trees! Do they produce lemons or are they just ornamental?
