A Better Time to Shop

Much colder today and rainy. A quick run to the grocery store early (for me - 9:30 a.m.) this morning and it was blessedly quiet with no lineups. I think Sunday morning will be my regular shopping time from now on. I did pass one person not wearing a mask but didn't challenge them, just kept out of their way.

Haven't ventured out since. Even Lucy the dog won't go out - too miserable!

  1. I love early morning shopping. As you found, there aren't so many people around and it is very peaceful.

    1. The only problem with Sunday morning is that the shelves (and especially the produce) are rather depleted. After the Saturday rush I expect.

  2. I haven't noticed the supermarkets to be any busier than usual here, but I like to get my shopping done early in the day if possible. X

  3. I have never tried our local supermarket on a Sunday morning, probably because I don't think they get any fresh deliveries on that day. For fruit and veg, bread, milk etc I need to go on a weekday.
It would be good, though, to find a quiet time to go.

  4. I usually shop early on a Thursday morning. Seems like nobody or at least very few around. I get in and out quickly.

    God bless.

    1. I went into my local No Frills this morning and although the store wasn't particularly busy, the check out line was ridiculous. I left without buying anything!

  5. I like to go early morning too. A risky strategy sometimes as the ferry doesn't arrive until lunchtime.
