A Nip in the Air

Fall is certainly in the air - the nights are cooler and some of the trees are starting to change colour. I had to turn the heat on the other day but it's off at the moment as it has warmed up a bit again..

Today was beautifully sunny so I spent most of it outdoors doing several different chores while I had the chance. I dug up a couple of tomato plants that obviously weren't going to produce any more ripe fruit and a potato plant. These all came from just the one plant! My potatoes have done really well this year.

    God bless.

  2. This time of year I like to reflect on what the garden has produced and decide what to try and grow next season. I hope to try growing some potatoes next year. Any tips? X

  3. I added sheep manure to the bed before planting the seed potatoes. Don't use regular supermarket potatoes - get them from a garden centre.

  4. With Autumn's arrival yesterday, I was pleased she has decided to give us some of her best days for the next week. I've never met a potato I didn't like.

    1. I actually very rarely eat potatoes (except sweet potatoes), but since I have family staying with me at the moment the potatoes have come in useful.
