Still sitting here sweating - it is so hot and humid! I worked in the garden for about 10 minutes then had to jump in the pool!
Yesterday's tennis was fine for the first hour (8:00 to 9:00) as it was overcast, but then the sun came out and we all wilted. Tomorrow it will be more of the same. I wonder how long we will last!
Three more books from the library. This should last me over the weekend. I have just finished the Alexander McCall Smith book and would recommend it for a light but thoughtful read. The others were on some list or other so no idea what they will be like.
| The bottom one is "The Bookseller of Florence" by Ross King. |
I am so jealous of your pool (in the nicest possible way, of course!)

It's certainly been a relief this summer.
DeleteReading and swimming (although not at the same time) are probably the best things you can do when it's so hot. X
ReplyDeleteCertainly too hot to do anything that requires effort!
DeleteThanks for the book recommendations. I have liked Alexander McCall Smith books before.
ReplyDeleteI think you will like this one.
DeleteMelting here too with the added benefit of mosquitoes, I seem to be in a permanent bad mood, drink may be the answer.
ReplyDeleteEven with the A/C on I need a fan to combat the sweat!
DeleteOh for a pool some days. I have been tempted to run through the sprinkler, but at my age I could slip and break something.
ReplyDeleteReally hot here in Saskatchewan as well.
God bless.
Cooling down a bit here tonight.
