Already broke my resolve to stay safe - the library had the latest Louise Penny book for me and two DVDs, so I just had to make that one trip. While in the Mall I dropped by the bulk food store for something I forgot to get last time. I am determined to stay away for the rest of the week but it will depend on what we decide to do for Christmas Day. I may still have to cook a turkey and I still need to pick up a can of Devon custard for the plum pudding!
I'm on the waiting list for that book! I cannot wait - I'm happy for you that you got the book. Hunker down at home now and enjoy. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteIt's set in Paris. I am really enjoying reliving my trips there!
ReplyDeleteIt must be a great book. X
ReplyDeleteSo far I am quite enjoying it.
DeleteI was lucky that I had my name in early for Louise Penny's The Devils Are All Here. It's an excellent read. The closest Bulk Barn to me does curbside pick up, which I'm wrestling with; I have a cookie recipe I make every Christmas & don't have all the ingredients in my baking stash. Of course come Monday, Doug's latest update make take the option away.
ReplyDeleteI used curbside pickup but now my local store allows us to come in - with restrictions.
DeleteI'm sure you took all the usual precautions on your foray to the library. Now you can bring up the drawbridge and keep the barbarians at bay!
ReplyDeleteWe can't search the shelves but they will bring your requested items to the checkout. I may have to go out once this week but will be cautious!
DeleteI am hoping that someone (Harvey) got me some gift cards to use to download some books to my ereader. I don't dare go to the library as we have so many people fighting against the regulations here. I really do want to smack them upside the head.
ReplyDeleteTime for you to hunker down if possible. One more grocery trip for me and I plan on sticking close to home for at least two or three weeks if possible.
God bless.
I had to go to the store again today. So much for my good intentions!
