Hi Chris; I think it looks like Scilla siberica a tiny spring bulb. I have in my garden & it does easily multiply. Also looks like your squirrels have left you a cob of corn (lol).
Thanks for that. I think you are right. It`s a pine cone but I bet the squirrels are responsible as it`s quite far from my tree.
