It's Shaping Up to Get Busy

No change to the scenery outside my front door as we had a light snowfall overnight. I did venture out to walk to the drug store (ten minutes there and the same back) as I had a prescription to pick up but it was bitterly cold so I didn't linger too long. Still well wrapped up in layers and struggling into my boots before venturing outdoors.

I spent the afternoon catching up on world news (very depressing) in the newspaper but now need something to brighten the mood. Hope there is something decent on TV tonight! Other than that it's been a quiet weekend with just a few chores and lots of time for reading. This month's Book Club book is "The Women" by Kristen Hannah and I am well into it. It's set during the Vietnam War so, again, rather depressing, but maybe things will turn around as the story progresses.

Tomorrow is a busy day with Crafters group in the morning and Bridge in the afternoon. Then the week tends to get even busier and there's a lunch out on Thursday so lots to look forward to.

  1. Most of our snow has melted, thanks to a couple of not so cold days and some light rain. It's nice to have a busy week every now and then, isn't it.

    1. Still no melt here yet, funny how different considering we are not so far apart. We are going to a Thai restaurant this week so I will take photos of the food.

  2. That is a snowy scene, here we have so many grey wet days but at last the spring bulbs are appearing. Keep cosy and keep busy is my advice.

    1. I am so longing to see some green. Once the thaw starts, it goes pretty quickly. But still another month to go.

  3. We seem to get a few days of melting and then get hit with another batch of snow.

    God bless.

    1. Thanks, Jackie. We haven't had much melting here yet. Still piles of snow everywhere.
