Eating Out Again

Yesterday was this months RODEO lunch and we are at the letter "K" so it was a Korean restaurant. Another quirky little spot in a non-descript strip mall. You would never find it unless you were actually looking for it. Our fearless leader, Norma, is painstaking in hunting down interesting places to eat. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for a mid-week lunch hour so, obviously, it's a well known and popular spot.

So, we arrived at "Makkal Chon " and were all seated promptly. Our meal started with complimentary appetizers, some quite spicy, followed by entrees such Bi Bim Bop and Bol-gul-bi. Not being too adventurous, I chose a pork cutlet which was tender and crispy with a slightly spicy BBQ sauce and a salad and rice on the side. Having nibbled on the appetizers I was quite satisfied with half of the meal so took the rest home for dinner.

December is always a busy month for eating out and I have at least 2 more events to attend and one concert. The month will go by fast and, before you know it, it will be the new year. No idea what our next RODEO outing will be but, as we are at the letter "L", it may very well be Lebanese. ,

  1. Please ignore the typos - Blogger wouldn't let me make corrections. As we were leaving Makka Chon someone spotted a Lebanese restaurant just on the other side of the road!

  2. Blogger seems to have a mind of its own at times. I love the names of the food at the Korean lunch.

    God bless.

    1. Thanks, Jackie. We had to ask the waitress to explain what was in each dish.

    1. We have lots of ethnic places in our neck of the woods! Just need a little encouragement to try them. Someone has suggested dim sum next month.
